It is part of the Fundraising Oversight Agency’s mission to raise awareness among donors and to warn them about potentially unscrupulous fundraising campaigns and organizations. In line with this, we have decided to create a watch list of organizations regarding which negative information of varying degrees has come to light.
The OBS list currently consists of organizations and fundraising projects listed at the bottom of the page.
Transparency regarding financial and organizational matters is fundamental to all nonprofit organizations. Nevertheless, it turns out that some people do not comply with this. This breaks the relationship of trust between the donor and the organization in question. We consider this a clear sign that the business in question is unscrupulous.
Fundraising Oversight Guidelines for the OBS List
Our goal is to promote good fundraising practices and, through this, give donors confidence in their contributions. That is why we reach out to a number of organizations. Only a few of these are included on the OBS list. The contents of the list are based on objective information. All organizations listed have been given the opportunity to comment on the matter.
